Introduction

Brunel is currently partnering with a leading mining company to recruit an experienced Site HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function at one of its large-scale mining operations.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the full spectrum of Human Resources activities on site, ensuring effective people management, workforce planning, employee engagement, industrial relations, and compliance with Indonesian labor regulations.

About this role

  • Lead and manage all site-based Human Resources activities, ensuring alignment with corporate HR strategies and business objectives.
  • Act as the key HR Business Partner to the Site General Manager and departmental leaders.
  • Develop and execute workforce planning, manpower budgeting, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
  • Lead recruitment activities for site-based positions and ensure timely workforce mobilization.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive, high-performance working culture.
  • Manage performance management processes, talent reviews, leadership development, and employee coaching.
  • Provide expert advice on Indonesian labor law, employment regulations, disciplinary matters, and HR best practices.
  • Lead Industrial Relations activities, including engagement with labor unions, employee representatives, and government authorities where applicable.
  • Oversee employee relations, grievance handling, disciplinary investigations, conflict resolution, and compliance matters.
  • Ensure accurate implementation of compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, and employee administration.
  • Monitor HR metrics, prepare workforce reports, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Support organizational change initiatives, transformation programs, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and site practices comply with company standards and applicable regulations.

Is this you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience within the mining, oil & gas, heavy industry, EPC, manufacturing, or other large industrial operations.
  • Previous experience working in remote or site-based environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong experience supporting large operational workforces in dynamic project or production environments.
