Introduction

A leading resource-sector operator is seeking an experienced Shutdown Electrical Planner to support the successful planning and execution of electrical shutdown activities across a large-scale mining operation.This role is ideal for a planner with a strong background in electrical maintenance shutdowns, SAP work management processes, and stakeholder coordination in a mining, resources, or heavy industrial environment.

About this role

Working closely with maintenance, operations, contractors, and site teams, you will be responsible for developing detailed shutdown work plans and ensuring all activities are safely executed to schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed shutdown work packs and execution plans
  • Create and manage shutdown schedules and resource plans
  • Plan electrical maintenance activities in SAP
  • Manage work orders, notifications, task lists, and job plans
  • Coordinate materials, parts, tooling, and contractor requirements
  • Liaise with operations, maintenance, engineering, and site stakeholders
  • Monitor shutdown readiness and address planning gaps
  • Ensure all work complies with site safety standards and shutdown deadlines

Is this you?

Essential

  • Experience planning electrical shutdowns within mining, resources, processing, oil & gas, power generation, or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong SAP experience, including:
    • Work orders
    • Notifications
    • Job plans
    • Maintenance planning
  • Materials coordination
  • Ability to develop comprehensive work packs and shutdown schedules
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational capability
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence

Desirable:

  • Trade or technical qualification in Electrical or related discipline
  • Previous FIFO site-based shutdown planning experience
  • Experience with large-scale fixed plant maintenance shutdowns
