About this role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Shutdown Coordinator to join a major power generation project based at Pinjar Power Station. This is a 4 month contract supporting the planning and execution of critical shutdown activities at one of Western Australia's key energy assets.

Reporting to the Shutdown Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating shutdown activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to schedule. This position requires excellent planning, stakeholder management and execution skills.

  • Coordinate all shutdown and outage activities across multiple work fronts
  • Develop, monitor and communicate shutdown schedules and priorities
  • Liaise with operations, maintenance, contractors and project teams
  • Ensure resources, permits and materials are aligned with planned work
  • Monitor shutdown progress and proactively resolve scheduling issues
  • Support safe and efficient execution while meeting project deadlines

This role is site-based at Pinjar Power Station throughout the shutdown period. Applicants must be willing and able to travel to site daily and be present onsite during execution.

Is this you?

  • Proven experience coordinating industrial shutdowns, outages or major maintenance events
  • Experience within power generation, mining, oil & gas or heavy industry
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced shutdown environment
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
