We are excited to partner with a leading mining business based in the Peel region of WA to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer. About this role

Lead and manage the mechanical engineering design for capital projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Oversee the development of a new Residue Filtration Building to efficiently separate liquid from tailings.
Implement the installation of a new bridge-type bucket wheel reclaimer, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
Coordinate the relocation of services and utilities to accommodate the future tailings storage facility.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Ensure all engineering activities adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience in capital projects and mechanical engineering design within a processing plant environment.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale engineering projects from conception to completion.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and innovatively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
