About this role

Working closely with senior leadership and operations teams, you will play a key role within the commercial division. This role requires a commercially minded Estimator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being heavily involved from tender through to project handover.

  • Identify and source key tender opportunities aligned with business strategy
  • Monitor tender portals and submit EOIs
  • Prepare and oversee detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
  • Develop pricing strategies including margin and risk analysis
  • Prepare tender reports, forecasts, exclusions, and clarifications
  • Lead commercial negotiations through to project award
  • Conduct site inspections and project assessments
  • Coordinate with safety teams to ensure compliance requirements are met
  • Lead seamless handovers to operations teams and provide ongoing post-award support including variations
  • Mentor and review team outputs, driving continuous improvement

Is this you?

  • Minimum over 5 years' experience in construction estimating
  • Strong background within commercial construction and/or insurance building
  • Experience pricing council, aged care, or government-related projects highly regarded
  • Proven ability to deliver compliant and successful tenders
  • Strong experience with trade pricing, subcontractor comparison, and procurement engagement
  • Excellent written communication and proposal preparation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation ability
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
