Introduction

Brunel International is seeking a Senior Engineer, sustainability with expertise in sustainability to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of sustainable engineering solutions that are both cost-effective and environmentally friendly.

About this role

Overall Job Purpose

  • To independently handle sustainability deliverables, manage various scope of works defined by corporate or project team effectively and efficiently according to the specified technical requirements, timelines and budget; assist lead engineer or manager in research and development task and resolve any arising issues during sustainability implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with different disciplines to collect the Lessons Learnt and Life Cycle value improvement ideas, to sort out into different categories and to update/improve design standards;
  • Proposes, conducts, and participates studies of new technology related to Company business, such as CO2 emission calculation and reduction, decarbonatization, Ammonia and so on;
  • Assists his/her seniors in strategy planning for new products of Modec business, i.e., offshore wind farm, H2 energy, Ammonia energy, carbon capture system (CCS) and so on;
  • Coordinates the specialists from Core Team (Technical expert group) to solve the critical issues arising from EPC projects or offshore fleets;
  • With sufficient experience accumulated, may assumes role of R&D lead of the assigned initiatives, and monitor the progress for research topics from both Modec entities and external collaborators (universities, research institutes and consultants etc.);
  • Independently communicates with all stakeholders, i.e., consultant, classification body, clients, internal engineering disciplines and implements the sustainability program as required by client specification or classification notation (ABS SUSTAIN and DNV ABATE etc.);
  • Provides technical advice pertaining sustainability related topic during project bidding / FEED, EPCI and operational stage.

Is this you?

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural/mechanical/ship building/environmental/chemical/Electrical engineering/computer science etc. or above. Alternatively, Diploma in Engineering with relevant years of working experience;
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in engineering in oil and gas sector or shipyard industries for bachelor’s degree holder, Minimum 5-year relevant experience for master’s degree holder, or minimum 3-years relevant experience for PhD degree holder or 12 or more years of relevant working experience for diploma holders.
