To perform quality control inspection activities related to welding, machining, and pressure testing of equipment at the vendor facility, ensuring compliance with specifications, industry codes, and project requirements.

Performing in-process and final inspections of welded and machined components.
Ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, approved procedures, standards, and relevant API, ASME, and ISO requirements.
Reviewing welding documents such as WPS, PQR, and WQR, and conducting visual welding inspections.
Monitoring welding activities and coordinating NDT report reviews.
Inspecting machined parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, tolerances, material traceability, and MTC compliance.
Witnessing hydrostatic and gas pressure tests while verifying equipment calibration, test procedures, acceptance criteria, and safety compliance.
Maintaining inspection records, preparing reports and NCRs, and coordinating with vendor quality teams.
Acting as the representative at the vendor site and supporting audits or client inspections when required.
Is this you?
Requires a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Needs 5-10 years of QC inspection experience in the oil and gas industry.
Must have strong experience in welding inspection, machine shop inspection, and pressure testing.
Preferred/required certifications include API Q1, API 6A, API 7-1, CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI, ASNT Level II, and familiarity with ASME standards.
Key skills include reading engineering drawings, understanding GD&T, knowledge of API/ASME standards, attention to detail, reporting, communication, and ability to work independently.
Expected deliverables include inspection reports, release notes, verified pressure test records, NCR follow-up, and compliance with quality requirements.
Work is mainly based at a vendor facility or machine shop, with close coordination with vendor teams.
