About this role: Project Engineer
Brunel DMCC is looking for Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in UAE. We are a leading provider of Engineering and Technical services to the Oil & Gas Industry.
- Under the Supervision of a Project Manager the Project Engineer will coordinate the following activities;
- Participate in ‘Project Kick-Off Meetings” to determine project requirements;
- Attend surveys onshore/offshore to define scopes and perform laser scanning;
- Understand client’s requirements from a technical, schedule and budget perspective;
- Liaise with Suppliers and Sub Contractors to ensure quotations are received promptly and required technical requirements are followed;
- Prepare estimation files and client offers using company templates and methods;
- Commercial/Client follow-up;
- Verify client’s PO against the offer;
- Planning and Scheduling: Preparation and maintenance of project schedule. Work with the Project Manager to define resources and budgets for on-time project delivery. Key milestones are identified and tracked;
- Client follow-up: Regular planned follow-up with client throughout project. Preparation of update documents: Action Register, Commercial Summary, Project Schedule, Project Dashboard;
- Intermittent commercial summaries for installation, to review performance against budget;
- Ensure invoicing is done on time as per agreed payment terms;
- Engineering;
- Understand technical, Engineering and Calculation/Design requirements for all scopes;
- Ensure that issued drawings are delivered on time and correspond to the client requirements;
- Follow up for Class Approval;
- Supply & Prefabrication;
- Organize procurement of material and ensure prompt delivery;
- Coordinate with the QC team for project preparation development of ITP (Inspection Test Plan);
- Follow workshop fabrication to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to drawing and, QC and client specifications;
- Organize/Supervise in an efficient manner the logistics according PO incoterms in close relation with internal support team & the client;
- Installation/Deployment;
- Develop manpower profile based on estimation and Identify personnel requirement (qualifications, positions, team size, etc.) for each project.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 - 4 years of experience in the field;
- Engineering Degree;
- Good understanding of Engineering and Oil and Gas related technical requirements;
- Technical knowledge of steel fabrication (piping and structural);
- Understanding of related standards (ASM B31.3, API, ASME IX, AWSD1.1);
- Knowledge of High-Pressure piping (5,000psi, 10,000psi, 15,000psi WP) beneficial;
- Technical knowledge of welding processes (GTAW, SMAW, FCAW);
- Awareness regarding;
- The organisation's quality, environmental, or health and safety policies;
- Job Specific procedures, instructions and formats;
- Relevant quality, environmental or health and safety objectives;
- Their contribution to the effectiveness of the management system;

- The implications of not conforming to management system requirements.
