Introduction

About this role

  • Operate and monitor Ethylene and/or Polyethylene plant processes safely and efficiently.
  • Perform both field and DCS (Control Room) operations during normal plant operation.
  • Monitor process parameters and make adjustments to maintain safe and stable plant performance.
  • Support plant start-up, shutdown, and process upset recovery activities.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with Maintenance and Technical teams.
  • Conduct routine plant inspections, record operating data, and report abnormalities.
  • Carry out equipment isolation, issue work permits, and follow approved operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE policies, SOPs, JSAs, and company procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and participate in safety meetings and audits.
  • Complete shift handovers accurately and maintain production logs.
  • Assist during plant turnarounds, maintenance activities, and commissioning when required.
  • Work collaboratively with the operations team to achieve production, quality, and safety targets.

Is this you?

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Technical Diploma/High School with vocational qualification may also be considered).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Process Operator in the petrochemical or chemical industry.
  • Hands-on experience in Ethylene and/or Polyethylene (HDPE, LDPE, or LLDPE) plants is mandatory.
  • Experience in both Field Operations and DCS/Control Room operations.
  • Good knowledge of plant start-up, shutdown, troubleshooting, and normal plant operations.
  • Familiar with safety procedures, work permits, SOPs, and HSE standards.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a shift-based environment.
