Responsible for piping and material engineering activities for Compression Project
Ensuring that all piping layout, material and stress calculation activities comply with project requirements and specifications.
Through effective collaboration and management of engineering contractor and LNG stakeholder to ensure on time project delivery.
Provides visible safety leadership through active participation in the Compression Project Safety Program
Reviews the detailed design developed by the Contractor and verify compliance with LNG standards and objectives.
Understand and communicate the requirements of Company to Contractor
Efficiently translate Company requirements and data into an efficient delivery from the Contractor and verify compliance with Company requirements, standards, specifications and instructions
Manage the Contractor in the safe delivery of the detailed design scope
Monitor the progress and delivery of piping and layout works meeting project schedule and milestones.
About this role
Responsible to ensure Contractor deliver a complete Piping engineering deliverables during execution.
Ensures the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfillment of the project quality requirements and the contractual obligations.
Responsible to review and approval of all piping technical documents (specifications, calculation notes, drawings, etc.) developed by Contractor are in compliance with project scopes and requirements and identify potential risks to project if any.
Manage Contractor’s Piping disciplines resources and to ensure work completion on time.
Responsible for all model reviews conducted during design development
Provide technical support to project and coordinate multidiscipline input on piping & layout deliverables
Participate in various project’s workshop such as Design, Hazardous Operations (HAZOP and HAZID), Constructability reviews, etc.
Assists with expectations as required especially Risk Assessment, Facility Design and Construction and Management of Change
Tracking and reporting of lessons learned in defined area of responsibility
Works in a highly visible project environment with large capital expenditures and significant schedule execution pressures
Works in a dynamic environment that has high expectations for flawless project execution in safety, quality, cost and schedule performance which requires the incumbent to demonstrate accuracy initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skills
Well established awareness of policies and procedures with high expectations for business controls compliance and to further develop controls to meet changing
Is this you?
Minimum Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
18+ years of experience in piping discipline with at least five years of lead discipline experience in major capital project and offshore fixed platform project.
Experience as a Piping Material Engineer in the oil and gas industry. Demonstrated track record in materials selection, specifications, and procurement for piping systems.
In-depth understanding of piping materials, including alloys, metals, plastics, and their compatibility with various process fluids and environments.
Possess of extensive offshore greenfield and brownfield project experience.
Good understanding on platform layout development requirements and equipment / material handling requirements
Experience with contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry
Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds
Knowledgeable in Codes & Standards
A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications
