About this role: Pipelay Barge CSR
Reporting to the Construction Lead Pipelines & Cables, Pipelay Barge CSR (Company Site Representative) is responsible for all Offshore Pipelay works and acts as the Company Representative for execution and acceptance of the offshore pipelay works on behalf of the NFXP Offshore Project. The CSR has to ensure objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule and that all work is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards applicable.
Must be able to execute work Offshore on a rotational basis.
Interfaces with Marine Warranty Surveyor and COMPANY Marine.
Leads all pipelay Installation requirements of the Project, to ensure the technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.
Accountable for pipelay work for the NFXP Offshore Project and liaises with the Onshore Pipelay contractor.
Interfaces with various project teams and departments on resolving related issues that require effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration.
- As Offshore Company Site Representative position has day to day responsibility for managing the offshore works on the pipelay vessel on behalf of COMPANY to ensure the technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget, schedule, to the correct quality level and ensure technical interfaces with Project PMT, Site PMT, MWS and contractors are managed effectively;
- Focal point at site, for implementing safety leadership and safe execution of the work and assist the Construction Lead Pipelines & Cables in executing the Project scope;
- Attend Hazid/Risk Assessment/project technical review session as instructed with COMPANY, CONTRACTOR/SUB-CONTRACTOR;
- Inspect and audit all marine vessels, including vessel suitability for work scope(s), involved in the pipelay works and liaise with the Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS);
- Verify operational status of pipelay equipment, vessels and personnel on a day-to-day basis involved in the field works performed;
- Support external interfaces with RLC, other operators and schedule and arrange technical support to shareholders as requested;
- Set up and manage daily meeting with COMPANY field personnels, CONTRACTOR/SUB-CONTRACTOR and call specific ‘ad hoc’ meetings as required;
- Assessing and auditing contractors’ documentation in regard to HSES, QA/QC, Marine, Environmental and Project Execution;
- Review contractor installation works to ensure contractor design documents and other submittals are correct and approved in accordance with the EPC contract requirements;
- Ensure technical aspects of the Risk Management Plan are managed effectively and review and approve design changes, coordinate all changes to installation specifications and exceptions are in accordance with the Project Management of Change (PMOC) processes;
- Ensure close coordination within COMPANY project team on all engineering, method of statement, constructability and installation matters;
Requirements
- Engineering Degree or relevant on the job experience;
- Extensive Offshore experience in a Supervisory Role;
- Required to have offshore survival certificate and be able to pass an offshore medical evaluation;
- OPITO certification (H2S and T-BOSIET) is considered a plus;
- Recommended 10+ years of experience in discipline with at least 8 years demonstrated senior construction/installation experience in major capital projects;
- Offshore experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry;
- Worldwide experience with contractors in particular those involved in the Offshore LNG production facilities;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT;
- Application and in-depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of Industry standards;
- A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English;
- Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications;
- Ability to work on or be based on a platform or vessel.
