Introduction

  • Provide commercial support related to the COMPANY's business concerning the acquisition and optimization of a fleet of chartered LNG carriers.

About this role

  • Support contractual negotiations for LNG carriers including charterparties, shipbuilding contracts, framework agreements, and agreements with third-party marine equipment suppliers; develop and maintain contract terms sheets, formulate offers, and evaluate counterparty counteroffers
  • Monitor market trends in the LNG shipping, LNG spot, and shipbuilding markets, as well as LNG carrier second-hand sales and demolitions and assess impacts on market rates
  • Analyze global LNG supply and demand and interpret its impact on LNG shipping and shipbuilding markets
  • Work with Project technical team to assess evolving regulations and emerging technologies and their commercial impact on the Project; translate Project technical requirements into contractual terms

Is this you?

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Energy or Commercial Field.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in oil and/or gas transportation within an integrated shipping/oil/gas company. Demonstrated experience with economic analysis and commercial negotiation.
  • Strong analytical skills required.
  • Strong commercial marine skills required.
  • Marine technical and operational knowledge preferred.
  • Good time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Experienced in tender preparation and evaluation
  • Experienced in Contract negotiations
  • Able to manage multiple workstreams at the same time
  • Able to look ahead, think strategically while focusing on day-to-day delivery
  • Knowledge of marine gas/oil industry bodies, National and International maritime and shipping regulations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of shipping, LNG and/or oil markets is preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, strong skills in report writing and presentations.
  • Self-starter, able to plan and adapt own workload in the face of changing priorities whilst maintaining on time and accurate delivery
