Introduction

Brunel is partnering with a tier one mining business to source an experienced Planner / Scheduler for a short-term contract based in Gladstone.

This role will support maintenance planning and shutdown coordination across a heavy industrial operating environment. It will suit someone who is confident working with maintenance, operations and contractor teams to ensure work is planned, scheduled and delivered safely and efficiently.

About this role

Working Monday to Friday, 10-hour days from 6:00am to 3:30pm, you will be responsible for supporting the planning and scheduling of maintenance and shutdown activities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining maintenance schedules and work plans
  • Supporting shutdown planning, preparation, execution and close-out activities
  • Coordinating labour, materials, equipment and contractor requirements
  • Reviewing work scopes and ensuring jobs are planned effectively
  • Liaising with operations, maintenance, engineering and contractor teams
  • Monitoring schedule progress and identifying potential delays or constraints
  • Maintaining accurate planning data, work orders and schedules in SAP
  • Supporting safe, efficient and well-coordinated maintenance execution

Is this you?

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Strong experience in maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Background in heavy industry, mining, processing, refining, manufacturing, oil & gas or similar environments
  • Previous shutdown coordination or shutdown planning experience
  • SAP maintenance planning experience, highly regarded
  • Previous experience within a tier one mining environment, highly regarded
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Trade qualification preferred, but not essential
