As an Environmental/Regulatory Advisor you will be the single point of contact for all environmental and regulatory matters. You will coordinate and oversee environmental and regulatory programs, ensuring compliance through all project phases from engineering to commissioning. This role is pivotal in integrating environmental, socioeconomic, and health standards into project designs and implementation plans.
Responsibilities – To include but are not limited too:
- Collaborate with consultants and Project Team (PT) on Emergency Support Group (ESHIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) preparations.
- Develop and implement the Regulatory Compliance Plan and EMP.
- Assist the Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Manager in supporting Environmental & Regulatory (E&R) activities.
- Obtain and track project permits, licenses, and approvals.
- Interface with design and execution teams to integrate environmental, socioeconomic, and health requirements.
- Provide input for cost and schedule estimates related to regulatory compliance and ESHIA.
- Recommend and oversee the implementation of environmental, socioeconomic, and health mitigation measures.
- Ensure EPC contractors develop acceptable E&R plans.
- Review EPC contractor E&R plans for comprehensiveness and acceptability.
- Guide PT and EPC contractors on regulatory compliance and E&R performance.
- Develop and implement EMP performance monitoring procedures.
- Coordinate EMP implementation with Site Construction Managers.
- Conduct inspections of EPC Contractors' sites for compliance.
- Investigate and report E&R compliance initiatives and non-compliance situations.
- Prepare internal and external E&R compliance stewardship reports.
- Coordinate technical experts for specific E&R tasks.
- Oversee communications between field locations and the Project SHE Manager.
- Lead and participate in E&R performance training sessions.
