Responsible for leading and coordinating all hydrographic and survey engineering activities in support specifically for RLIC Port dredging and reclamation project and in general for all nearshore developments involving Offplot project portfolio.
The role ensures accurate acquisition, processing, and interpretation of bathymetric, geophysical, and geospatial data required for project design, installation, and operations.
About this role
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of hydrographic, geophysical, and geotechnical survey activities for offshore LNG projects
Define survey scopes of work, technical specifications, and methodologies in line with project requirements
Manage and supervise survey contractors, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and HSE standards
Review and approve survey procedures, reports, and deliverables (e.g. bathymetry, seabed mapping, route surveys)
Ensure data quality control, validation, and integration into engineering and design processes
Interface with subsea, pipeline, marine, and installation teams to support design and execution activities
Identify and mitigate risks related to seabed conditions, survey uncertainties, and marine operations
Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling of survey campaigns
Ensure compliance with international standards and best practices (e.g. IHO, IMCA, ISO)
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and survey specialists
Is this you?
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Hydrography / Geomatics / Geophysics.) or Ocean Engineering
8 years' experience in Engineering roles, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, and 1 year experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor / subcontractors / service / vendor personnel.
Experience with Oil & Gas Companies, contractors, subcontractors, vendors or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.
Experience managing contractors and third-party vendors, in several phased of the projects, preferably done a complete project from FEED to Start-up.
Experience in technology adoption and implementation of continuous improvement.
Experience in offshore construction, subsea pipelines, and marine operations
Familiarity with international standards (IHO, IMCA) and HSE requirements
Proven experience in contractor management and project coordination
Experience in Middle East projects (preferably Qatar) is an advantage
