Introduction

Our client is a leading Australian mining and resources company seeking experienced Electricians to join their fixed plant maintenance team on a FIFO roster. Working within a high performing processing environment, you will be responsible for preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance across critical plant equipment. WA Electrical Licence and Instrumentation Certificate required. SAP and HV switching experience preferred but not essential

About this role

  • Perform preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant electrical systems and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair faults across motors, control systems, instrumentation, switchboards, and distribution networks
  • Work on PLC-controlled systems and support basic automation troubleshooting within processing operations
  • Install, test, and commission electrical components and plant upgrades as required
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with WA electrical standards and site safety procedures
  • Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring to minimise downtime
  • Support shutdown and planned maintenance activities including major plant outages
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems (SAP or similar)
  • Collaborate with mechanical trades, operators, and engineering teams to optimise plant performance
  • Identify and report hazards, ensuring strict adherence to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedure

Is this you?

  • WA Electrical Licence (A Grade Electrician)
  • Instrumentation Certificate (required)
  • Experience in fixed plant or mining processing environments preferred
  • Strong fault-finding skills across industrial electrical and control systems
  • Exposure to conveyors, crushers, pumps, screens, and heavy processing equipment
  • Understanding of PLC systems and basic instrumentation
  • SAP experience and High Voltage (HV) switching preferred but not essential
  • Ability to work safely in high-risk mining environments
  • Experience using preventative maintenance systems (CMMS)
