Introduction

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Dump Truck Operators to join a long-term open cut mining operation at Tropicana, Western Australia, on a temp-to-perm basis.

About this role

We are seeking experienced Dump Truck Operators to join an open cut mining operation at Tropicana.

You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating large mining dump trucks as part of the production mining team.

The project operates a predominantly 7 days / 7 nights / 7 days off roster, with 12-hour rostered shifts. Most positions work approximately 12.5 hours per day, including regular overtime.

Key responsibilities:

  • Safely operate large-scale mining dump trucks in an open cut mining environment.
  • Complete pre-start inspections and report any equipment defects or hazards.
  • Operate equipment in accordance with site procedures and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and operational discipline.
  • Work effectively as part of a production mining team.
  • Comply with all site safety, environmental and operational requirements.

Is this you?

  • Previous experience operating large mining dump trucks.
  • Current C Class Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Ability to successfully complete required medical, drug and alcohol screening and site onboarding.
  • National Police Clearance within the required timeframe.
  • Previous open cut mining experience is highly regarded.

The successful candidates will have proven experience operating large mining dump trucks in an open cut mining environment, a strong commitment to safety and the ability to work effectively on a FIFO roster.

You will be reliable, safety-focused and comfortable working 12-hour shifts in a remote mining environment.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for candidates looking for a longer-term position in the mining industry.
