Introduction

On behalf of our client, a World Leader within the Energy / Oil & Gas industry, Brunel is presently sourcing a Contracts Advisor for a 12 month contract located in their Corporate Perth CBD offices.

About this role

As the Contracts Advisor you will manage the execution of Tier B & C sourcing events and provide support to the Category Specialist when required, working as 'One Team'. You will also be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects relevant to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of Tenders and Award of assigned contracts.

  • Perform Post-Award Contract Management and manage ongoing contract hygiene and enquiries including uploading changes and amendments, reporting on ceiling breaches
  • Takes responsibility and ownership for contract management and engages with the team to track and monitor performance.
  • Undertake development, compilation, sourcing, pre-tenders, Invitations to Tender, tender openings and evaluations of proposals received including all requests for qualifications for assigned contracts
  • Provide contract/procurement advice to Company personnel
  • Ensure Contractor deliverables to ITT/Contract documents are delivered in a timely matter
  • Ensure Contract Variations are identified early and advised to Contract Owner
  • Ensure that contract processes are being carried out in the most efficient and cost effective manner utilising Company/JOA approved procedures
  • Prepare and undertake Contract Award approvals in accordance with the Contracting Procedures and JOA
  • Develop and/or analyse ITT & contracts documentation for issues
  • Negotiation of Contractors qualifications and exceptions during ITT evaluation
  • Management of assigned SAP Service Masters, Purchase Orders and Contracts
  • Maintain time and payment schedules and milestones
  • Ensure commercial and contractual correspondence with contractor is efficiently handled
  • Coordinate on contractual, commercial, taxation, insurance and legal issues with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Finalise award and subsequent management of Contracts
  • Liaise with Project Team members to ensure commitments and milestones are achieved and liaise with Contractor to expedite progress mindful of foreseen overruns/claims/ liquidated damages

Is this you?

Requirements

  • Engineering/Quantity Surveying qualification, Business Administration, Law OR extensive Contracts Advisory experience
  • Has experience in contract formulation activities, systems and processes coupled with a working knowledge of engineering and or services/consultancy practices, preferably in Oil & Gas industry
  • Has a good understanding of CMS and ERP systems, ie SAP and SAP Ariba including managing end-to-end sourcing projects and post-award contract administration and ongoing contract hygiene
  • High level of attention to detail ensuring transactional details are captured throughout sourcing events and post-award agreements are transferred into relevant systems agreements
  • Well-developed listening skills and ability to engage broadly within the team and with operational stakeholders
  • Perform spend analytics to identify trends and patterns in spending
  • Accountable for delivering high-quality transactional supporting and is supportive and enabling of others to deliver
