Introduction

Join a leading mining operation at Eliwana as a Blast Hole Driller. We are seeking experienced operators with proven capability on D65 and/or Epiroc PV271 drill rigs to support safe and productive mining operations on a 2:1 FIFO roster in Western Australia.

About this role

Brunel is currently seeking experienced Blast Hole Drillers to join a leading iron ore mining operation at Eliwana on a 2:1 FIFO roster.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating blast hole drill rigs safely and efficiently to achieve production targets while maintaining compliance with site safety standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate D65 and/or Epiroc PV271 blast hole drill rigs.
  • Conduct pre-start inspections and routine operator maintenance checks.
  • Achieve production targets in line with mine plans and operational requirements.
  • Maintain safe work practices and comply with all site safety procedures.
  • Accurately complete operational and maintenance reporting.
  • Work collaboratively within a high-performing production team.
  • Identify and report equipment faults and potential safety hazards.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating D65 and/or Epiroc PV271 blast hole drill rigs.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a production-focused mining environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable work ethic and strong attention to detail.

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience operating autonomous drill systems.
  • Exposure to or experience with drill electrification technologies.
  • Previous experience within large-scale iron ore mining operations.

Successful candidates will be safety-focused, dependable, and capable of contributing positively to a high-performing mining team.
