Introduction

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Aftermarket Sales & Operations Manager to join an established organisation servicing the mining and materials handling sector.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership position responsible for driving aftermarket sales performance, developing growth strategies and leading a team across key account management and sales coordination.

About this role

Reporting to the Director of Aftermarket, you will take ownership of the performance and continued growth of the Aftermarket Parts division. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute aftermarket sales strategies aligned with wider business objectives
  • Lead the day-to-day operations and performance of the aftermarket sales team
  • Coach, mentor and develop Key Account Managers and Sales Coordinators
  • Drive revenue and gross profitability across OEM spares, supplies and agency products
  • Develop growth strategies across key Australian mining regions
  • Strengthen relationships with existing mining and minerals processing customers
  • Proactively identify, develop and close new sales opportunities
  • Generate new leads and increase market share
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across equipment and services
  • Manage sales pipelines, forecasting, CRM activity and performance reporting
  • Contribute to annual sales budgets, pricing strategies and margin improvement
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements
  • Support the growth of existing and new agency product lines
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, site visits and industry events
  • Work closely with operational, technical and commercial teams to deliver strong customer outcomes

Is this you?

We are looking for an established sales leader with strong exposure to the mining equipment, materials handling or aftermarket environment. You will ideally bring:

  • Strong experience within aftermarket, sales or commercial leadership
  • Proven experience managing and developing sales teams
  • Strong mining, minerals processing or materials handling industry exposure
  • Experience selling mechanical spare parts, equipment, supplies or aftermarket solutions
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial equipment
  • An established network within the Australian mining sector
  • A proven track record of identifying, developing and closing commercial opportunities
  • Strong key account and stakeholder management capability
  • Sales planning, forecasting, budgeting and reporting experience
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with CRM systems and managing sales pipelines
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, sales, marketing, management or similar
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence
