Introduction

We are currently working with a well-established and highly respected commercial builder delivering landmark multi-residential developments across South East Queensland. Due to continued project growth, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Safety Advisor to join a strong site-based team on a major project north of Brisbane.

About this role

Reporting to the Project Leadership team, you will play a key role driving safety performance across a large-scale multi-residential construction project. You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and management to ensure compliance, engagement, and a proactive safety culture are maintained throughout the build.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and incident investigations
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company procedures
  • Support site teams with SWMS reviews and subcontractor management
  • Promote a positive and proactive safety culture on site
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting

Is this you?

  • Previous experience as a Safety Advisor within commercial construction
  • Strong multi-residential project experience is essential
  • Sound understanding of QLD WHS legislation and construction compliance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with site teams and subcontractors
  • Relevant safety qualifications
