We are seeking an experienced ๐—ง๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—ฟ to lead technical engineering and mine planning functions within a mining operation. This role is responsible for driving safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations through strong technical leadership and continuous improvement.

  • Lead technical services functions including mine planning (short-, mid-, and long-term), drill & blast, geotechnical, and production planning.
  • Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient mining operations.
  • Oversee mine design, resource optimization, and production targets aligned with life-of-mine strategy.
  • Monitor technical performance, operational costs, and productivity to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, including technical documentation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with geology, operations, and management teams to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.

Essential skills and knowledge

๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role within mining technical services.
  • Strong knowledge of nickel mining methods, mine planning, and production optimization.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams in an operational mining environment.
  • Proficiency in mine planning and design software such as Surpac, Datamine, or similar tools.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to work in remote mining site locations.
