Introduction

  • To assist ensuring the Major Projects SIMOPS preparation, coordination and execution including interfaces with
  • Field Operations onshore and offshore teams as well as Projects Teams.

What are you going to do 

  • During Engineering and Construction phases
    • Works in close cooperation with the involved Projects packages Leader
    • Carries out or gets carried out risk assessments prior construction phase to evaluate and mitigate the risk associated to SimOps.
    • Proposes realistic solutions to maximize the Offshore works to be performed by EPCIC’s Contractor safely.
    • Liaises with MP/HSE to prepare and review the safety aspects of the SimOps preparation
    • Liaises with MP/P2P to prepare and review the co-activities during the preparation of the SimOps SOW on the Brownfield/Greenfield.
    • Liaises with D&W to prepare and review the safety aspects of the ComOps/SimOps preparation.
    • Ensures the proper anticipation and facilitation of future ComOps/SimOps activities by:
      • Reviewing Offshore installation and commissioning/start-up planning (Brownfield/Greenfield)
      • Liaise with FOPS Team to align on PTW procedure, isolation plans for brownfield works.
      • Assist SIMOPS lead for the appliance of the SIMOPS philosophy, considering the increase of activities (POB, hot work with naked flame, heavy lift operations, etc...)• Assist SIMOPS lead for the proper level of information between all entities involving – HSEQ, Field Operations, Logistic, Drilling and Wells, Engineering & Construction...
      • Assist the SIMOPS lead in the draft elaboration of the procedures required to lunch the SIMOPS on site (SSI, SIMOPS Matrix, POB Management, PTW Management, ERP diagrams....)
      • Contributing and ensuring a proper SimOps induction (video, booklets..) is in place
      • Assist the SIMOPS lead in appliance of the PTW management system on each phase (CPY and CTR)
      • Work as a link from Major Project with the FOPS site for any requirement.
      • Assist SIMOPS lead for Preparation of a SIMOPS philosophy, strategy when required.
      • Assist SIMOPS lead for construction and elaboration of SIMOPS dossier (review of contractor document end validation as per North Oil rules and requirement)
      • In case of increased activity, he will attend the meeting and share information to Hierarchy
  • During Offshore phases (Installation, Hook-up, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up):
    • Ensures HSE is given the highest priority and promotes HSEQ awareness of workforce at all levels through pro-active attitude (site Management tours, HSEQ meetings...)
    • Ensures all Company personnel and visitors know, understand and comply with safety regulations on site, and have received adequate HSE training
    • Monitors work activities, especially potential areas where unsafe acts could occur, and ensures that risks have been properly identified and assessed prior to work execution (Job Safety Analysis).
    • Notes and evaluates any employee concerns; ensures that potential failures, weaknesses, and hazards are immediately reported
    • Ensures the proper handover of SIMOPS dossiers by interfacing adequately with Field Operations Team (especially the SIMOPS coordinators)
    • Ensures resources adequacy with respect to needs (including competency, training..)
    • Ensures a good coordination and communication within his team and promote team working
    • Perform offshore visit on site to review performance of the SIMOPS execution campaign
    • Consolidate the lesson learns from the different phases of the Project.
    • Evaluate and apply the management of change (MOC)
  • In general:
    • Attends Projects meetings as and when required
    • To act as Deputy SIMOPS Lead when required.
    • Co-ordinates with other entities and groups, and manage the requested reporting and presentations
    • Ensures accurate reporting of his activities within the Company organization
    • Ensures promote safety culture within the project and his activities. Lead by exemplarity to have the team members and colleagues adhering and contributing.
    • Ensures that safe and ethic working practices are carried out within the activities that he is managing or interfacing with.
    • Ensures guarantee the compliance on his activities.
    • Ensures work by anticipation

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Engineer with at least 10-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas production facilities operations or Brownfield /Greenfield Projects, with experience in D&W/SimOps/Commissioning/Start-up activities preparation and execution.
  • Familiar with ICAPS , MANASA or OpenText and relevant codes and standards,
  • Language: Fluent English,
  • Computer literate,
  • Strong leadership skills and good communication skills,
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,
  • Good analytical skills,
  • Available for frequent missions
  • H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.
