Senior Electrical Engineer - Generation & Renewable Assets

Brisbane, QLD

A leading energy business is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the operation, reliability and performance of its renewable and generation asset portfolio across the NEM.

This role is suited to an engineer with strong O&M experience within power generation, renewables, BESS or utility-scale infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support across operating generation assets
  • Support HV/LV systems, protection schemes and plant performance
  • Assist with troubleshooting, outages and maintenance activities
  • Support compliance with GPS and NEM requirements
  • Liaise with AEMO, NSPs, OEMs and contractors
  • Manage electrical upgrades and asset improvement projects
  • Support testing, performance monitoring and technical investigations
  • Support generator performance, reliability and operational compliance initiatives
  • Coordinate and manage external contractors, consultants and OEM service providers
  • Contribute to asset lifecycle planning, plant optimisation and continuous improvement activities

About You

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience within power generation, renewables or energy infrastructure
  • Strong operational/O&M engineering background
  • Knowledge of protection, control and HV systems
  • Exposure to AEMO, GPS and NEM compliance highly regarded
  • Experience with Siemens PCS7, T3000 or Yokogawa advantageous
  • RPEQ or eligibility preferred

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience within power generation, renewables or energy infrastructure
  • Strong operational/O&M engineering background
  • Knowledge of protection, control and HV systems
