Lead Electrical Engineer - Power & Energy

The Opportunity Our client is a globally recognised engineering and energy solutions provider delivering complex power and infrastructure projects across the APAC region.

This is a senior position offering a mix of hands-on engineering, technical oversight, and team mentoring within a fast-growing and highly collaborative environment.

The Role You will take ownership of electrical engineering activities across multiple projects, leading from early design through to commissioning. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you'll ensure projects are delivered to a high technical standard, on time and in line with compliance requirements.

This role will also see you step into a leadership capacity, supporting and guiding a team of engineers while driving best practice across engineering delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical engineering scope across utility-scale power and infrastructure projects
  • Provide technical oversight on HV systems, substations, and associated electrical infrastructure
  • Mentor and support a team of engineers, fostering a strong and collaborative culture
  • Drive engineering quality, standards, and continuous improvement across projects
  • Work closely with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Review designs, specifications, and project documentation
  • Support commissioning activities and ensure systems perform as intended

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience delivering electrical design within power generation, mining, or large-scale infrastructure environments
  • Strong background in HV systems, substations, and power distribution
  • Experience leading or mentoring engineers within a project environment
  • Exposure to renewable energy or hybrid power systems
  • Experience with power system studies or modelling tools
  • Broader understanding of control systems or grid integration
