Introduction

On behalf of Chevron, Brunel has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Technical Assistant to join the ABU Major Capital Projects (MCP) team, primarily working on the Gorgon Long Term Optimization CO2 DE-PMP (Pressure Management Project). The position will report to the Quality Product Owner and will be based in Perth on a 2 year contract.

What are you going to do 

The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar QA role on Major Capital Projects. He/she will be self-motivated, possess good communication skills (written / verbal), leadership abilities, ability to work within a Team, computer literate with high level of technical report writing and be attuned to detail.
Additionally, the position will support management of:

  • Operational Excellence (OE), promote a culture of quality which ensures work is done right, first time, every time.
  • Drive improvement and streamline opportunities.
  • Non-Conformances (NCR), Concessions and Deviation Requests (CDR) processes.
  • Vendor & Construction Inspections.
  • Quality Planning.
  • Quality tracking, quality document assurance / review & expediting.
  • Status reporting, performance measures, digital initiatives.
  • Inspection assignments, reports, and costs.
  • Surveillance & Process Verification Planning.
  • Building a Quality OE / Culture & development of quality awareness messaging.

Essential skills and knowledge

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

  • Excellent people skills.
  • Growth mindset and a willingness to challenge existing ways of working in Capital Projects with innovative and out of the box thinking.
  • Good understanding of quality management systems.
  • Good understanding of quality technical documentation (eg, ITP’s, MDR’s, MTR’s)
  • 8-10 years of experience in oil / gas industry or equivalent project type of work atmosphere is beneficial.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role in quality.
