What are you going to do 

We’re currently looking for a Process Engineer with hands-on experience in gas compression systems for FPSO/offshore projects. Ideal candidates will have strong detailed engineering capabilities, Aspen HYSYS proficiency, and experience leading process safety reviews such as HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL. Singapore-based opportunity with exposure to complex offshore projects.

  1. Lead the process design of gas compression systems, including development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Safety Diagrams (PSDs), and Heat & Mass Balance calculations.
  2. Prepare, review, and optimise P&IDs for gas compression packages and systems.
  3. Perform process simulations and validation using Aspen HYSYS.
  4. Carry out sizing calculations for pipelines, pulsation bottles, scrubbers (including internals), coolers, and Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs) within gas compression skids.
  5. Prepare PSV sizing, settle-out, and blowdown calculation reports in accordance with project and industry standards.
  6. Develop fire protection and firefighting system designs, including hydraulic calculations for gas compression skids.
  7. Prepare operating, control, and safeguarding philosophies for gas compression systems.
  8. Independently develop process datasheets, line lists, and related process engineering deliverables.
  9. Prepare and review Cause & Effect matrices and ensure alignment with process safety requirements.
  10. Lead and participate independently in HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL studies and reviews.
  11. Support technical evaluations and reviews of process equipment and instrumentation for gas compression systems.
  12. Participate in design review meetings and technical discussions with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in detailed engineering and design of gas compression systems for FPSO or offshore applications.
  3. Strong understanding of offshore engineering standards, industrial design practices, and regulatory requirements.
  4. Proficient in Aspen HYSYS process simulation software.
  5. Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering gas compression facilities and process packages.
  6. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
