Introduction

On behalf of our client, a world leading integrated energy company, we are looking for an Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineer.

This role will be part of the Main Automation Contact Delivery Team, which is responsible for the execution of Project's Main Automation Contact (MAC) scope which includes the Process Automation Systems Integrator & the Integrated Control and Safety System Supplier.

The scope includes the project wide MAC requirements across Barrow Island, offshore Field ControlStation and subsea compression facilities.

What are you going to do 

This position reports directly to the Project's Main Automation Contact (MAC) Delivery Team Lead based in Perth

  • Provide technical direction/support for automation systems hardware and software design
  • Contract management – monitoring contractor cost and schedule performance
  • Interface management between Delivery Teams and/or contractors
  • Response to contractor RFIs / TQs in alignment with the Controls System Owner
  • Attendance at Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) as required.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Degreed qualified engineer with relevant experience in the oil & gas industry
  • Previous engineering experience in process automation designs including appropriate specifications,documentation and drawings (e.g., technology selection, detailed design and EPC contracting development, commissioning and start-up of greenfield and brownfield process automation projects).
  • Previous Systems Integrator experience
  • Barrow Island instrumentation and/or control systems (desirable)
  • Wheatstone Platform instrumentation and/or control systems (desirable)
  • Subsea control systems
  • Yokogawa Centum VP and Prosafe RS
  • Allen Bradley/ABB PLCs
  • Functional Safety
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse team which may include partners and contractors.
  • Proven experience delivering results whilst working with contractors and suppliers with demonstratedstrong commitment to safety and quality
  • Demonstrated ability to apply communication skills among multiple interfaces and diverse stakeholders.
