Introduction

Our client, a prestigious Tier 1 mining company, is seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Control Systems Engineer to join their dynamic Maintenance Planning and Engineering team based in Dampier. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to key projects and drive operational excellence.

What are you going to do 

Develop and implement electrical designs for defect elimination and operational improvement projects.Provide expert design review and assurance for capital projects.
Ensure all designs adhere to Australian, and International standards.Offer technical support for operations and maintenance activities.
Deliver technical guidance on protection and earthing systems.Manage both hardware and software aspects of Electrical and Control systems.

Essential skills and knowledge

Comprehensive knowledge of Australian standards.At least 7 years of experience in Australian fixed plant mines/ports.
Practical experience in using SAP.Strong understanding of functional safety principles and design requirements.
Proficiency with Digsilent Power Factory. Experience with Wonderware development and Schneider Modicon PLCs is advantageous.Demonstrated commitment to a strong safety culture.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills with proven stakeholder engagement strategies.
