We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Lead III to join the Owner's Project Team supporting the fabrication and construction of a major FPSO project in China. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day construction activities at the fabrication yard, ensuring safe execution, high-quality workmanship, and delivery in accordance with project schedule and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the Owner's Team in monitoring fabrication and construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead site construction activities across Mechanical, Piping, Structural, and EICT disciplines to ensure safe and efficient execution.
  • Coordinate daily with EPC contractors, fabrication yard personnel, engineering, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to resolve construction issues and maintain progress.
  • Monitor construction productivity, quality, schedule, and contractor performance, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Verify construction readiness, Mechanical Completion, punch list closure, and system handover to support commissioning activities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, walkdowns, and progress reviews while ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved procedures, and HSE requirements.
  • Support interface management between engineering, procurement, fabrication, and commissioning teams to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Prepare construction progress reports and provide regular updates to the Owner's management team.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of construction experience within offshore Oil & Gas, FPSO, or major modular fabrication projects.
  • Previous Owner's Team or Owner's Representative experience on large EPC projects is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience working at China fabrication yards supporting FPSO or offshore module fabrication projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction execution, contractor management, Mechanical Completion, commissioning readiness, and system turnover.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary construction teams and coordinate with EPC contractors and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural project environment.
