Introduction

A leading tier one mining business to source an Early Talent Coordinator for a 12-month contract based in Brisbane.

This role will provide operational and administrative support across the full recruitment and onboarding lifecycle for graduate and intern programs. You will play a key part in delivering a high-quality candidate, stakeholder, and participant experience, acting as a central coordination point related to early talent program delivery.

What are you going to do 

In this position, you will support high-volume early careers recruitment and program coordination, working closely with Early Talent Partners, hiring leaders, HR stakeholders, candidates, graduates, interns, and site contacts.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting phone screens for graduate and intern candidates and providing clear recommendations on progression to interview
  • Coordinating and scheduling interviews via Microsoft Teams across multiple stakeholders and time zones
  • Managing the Early Talent inbox and responding to candidate, business, HR, and site queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Supporting recruitment reporting and pipeline tracking through accurate data management, dashboards, and trackers
  • Coordinating pre-employment activities including medical bookings, qualification checks, and working rights verification
  • Maintaining accurate candidate records, notes, status updates, and outcomes in Workday
  • Assisting with offer and onboarding administration, including communications, acceptance tracking, and escalation of risks or delays
  • Supporting campaign recruitment periods, including bulk communications, assessment activities, and high-volume coordination
  • Coordinating graduate and intern program events, inductions, workshops, milestones, invitations, attendance tracking, logistics, and communications
  • Supporting continuous improvement by updating templates, trackers, and identifying process efficiencies
  • Ensuring recruitment and program activities align with internal policies, processes, and compliance requirements

Essential skills and knowledge

You will be a highly organised and proactive coordinator with strong communication skills and experience supporting recruitment, HR, learning, onboarding, or early careers programs in a fast-paced environment.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong customer service mindset and professional stakeholder engagement style
  • Experience coordinating recruitment, learning, HR, onboarding, or high-volume administrative processes
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Confidence using systems such as Workday, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Power BI, and third-party vendor platforms
  • The ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of operational delivery
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to support process improvements
