What are you going to do 

Reporting to senior leadership, the Senior Estimator will take ownership of the estimating process from initial scope through to tender submission. You will work closely with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure accurate, competitive, and timely submissions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead estimating for projects across multiple sectors up to $90 million
  • Prepare and review detailed cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation
  • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Analyse risk, pricing, and procurement strategies to deliver competitive bids
  • Mentor and guide junior estimating staff

Essential skills and knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Has proven experience as a Senior Estimator in construction
  • Has worked across Community, Industrial, Education, and Aged Care projects
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial building estimation
  • Proficiency in CostX estimating software
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies and project costing processes
  • Has experience estimating projects up to $90 million
  • Possesses strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
