Introduction

Brunel is looking for a SSHE Advisor III to support corporate facilities, offshore operations, and critical security initiatives within one of our clients, a key player in the oil and gas industry.

This will be a 1-year contract, to work in a 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off rotation in Guyana.

What are you going to do 

  • Lead and support maritime security operations for offshore assets and projects.
  • Assess and enhance corporate security programs to address risks across upstream, downstream, and corporate operations.
  • Coordinate and conduct security investigations, preparing detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Develop threat assessments and intelligence communications to support intelligence-led decision making.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, security professionals, law enforcement, and intelligence agencies.
  • Provide expertise across security operations, intelligence, executive and personnel protection, technical security, and business support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Real Estate & Facilities, IT, Procurement, Legal, Medical, Occupational Health, and Public & Government Affairs.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • College degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in Corporate Security, Maritime Security, Risk Management, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in maritime security is required.
  • Experience working in high-threat or high-risk environments is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel offshore on a routine basis.
  • Valid offshore certificates.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience engaging diverse audiences.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and lead initiatives without direct reporting authority.
  • Proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
  • Advanced English.
