Introduction

Brunel is conducting a confidential search for a Preservation Manager to take ownership of the preservation function for an established asset protection business.

This is a broad role combining technical leadership, client delivery and business development. You'll build on the company's existing work and help turn its wider product capabilities into practical preservation solutions and new opportunities.

The role is based in Perth, working with colleagues in Melbourne and Singapore.

Applicants must be based in Western Australia and hold Australian working rights.

What are you going to do

  • Lead preservation projects from client brief and proposal through planning, delivery and close-out.
  • Apply your understanding of VCI systems, corrosion and preservation methods to recommend suitable solutions.
  • Manage client relationships and coordinate the people and work needed to deliver project commitments.
  • Prepare clear proposals, work scopes, technical documentation and client materials.
  • Develop preservation processes, methodologies and service offerings as the business grows.
  • Identify opportunities to extend existing products into new applications and markets.
  • Support the development of the preservation team and its technical capability.

Essential skills and knowledge

You'll bring experience in preservation, corrosion protection, VCI systems or a closely related technical field. You can combine sound technical judgement with confidence in front of clients and a practical understanding of project delivery.

You'll also offer:

  • Understanding of VCI applications and corrosion prevention; experience in logistics or transport protection will be valuable.
  • Strong written communication, including proposal development and technical documentation.
  • Experience managing client requirements, projects or preservation work through to completion.
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in developing services and business opportunities.
  • A trustworthy, collaborative approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Relevant experience in mining, oil and gas, defence, logistics or similar industrial environments.

You'll have the opportunity to shape how preservation is delivered and developed within a growing business. The company has an established operating foundation, current work in Perth and Singapore, and product capabilities that can support further growth.

This role will suit someone who can see the wider opportunity as well as the technical detail-someone able to build client confidence, coordinate delivery and help develop the business.

What we offer

  • Take ownership of an important business function and shape how it develops.
  • Work across a varied mix of operational and major project work.
  • Build relationships across Australia and Asia.
  • Help turn existing products and capability into new services and client opportunities.
  • Work in a growing business with an established foundation and room to influence its direction.
  • Gain broad exposure across mining, oil and gas, defence and logistics.
