Seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to ensure Safe Production processes and structures are inplace and executed with consistency.

Our client is searching for a Senior Planning Engineer for a Brisbane based role. In this role you will be expected to;

  • Ensure Safe Production processes and structures are in place, supported and audited so that day to day tasks and activities of the Production shifts are managed and executed with consistency and with focus on process safety, integrity, and operational excellence
  • Champion the Process Safety Fundamentals for Production Operations and supports management of the Asset Integrity- Process Safety mission and KPIs for Production
  • Ensure all HSSE risk assessments and operational processes are properly and rigorously used
  • Lead with example with a deep strong commitment to our values, code of conduct, safety, and the environment
  • Apply our standards with rigour and intervene when they are compromised
  • Coach teams and individuals to utilise their strengths and potential to deliver the business goals.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Planning Engineer or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive industry experience in planning positions with experience in lead positions and working on large projects with budgets over 100M AUD
  • Advanced Primavera P6 Scheduling software competency is required. Including, activity, WBS and EPS management, Resource Management and Levelling, detailed use of project and enterprise coding for project manipulation
  • Detailed experience in critical path and near critical path analysis
  • Experience in running Pert master or Primavera Risk Analysis Schedule risk tool
  • Advanced level of Excel competency and ability to work with large volumes of data is required for the role.
  • Significant experience in roles working from the where the organisation is the operator is desired.
  • Experience in un-conventional oil and gas is highly desired.
  • Experience in managing small teams.
  • A high degree of skill in written and oral communications.

What we offer 

  • 12 month contract
  • $850-$1000 per day depending on experience
  • Monday-Friday Roster
