What are you going to do 

  • Provide expertise for hazard analysis and operational risk assessment;
  • Participate in incident investigation, propose recommendations to prevent their reoccurrence;
  • Organize emergency drill / exercises with entities;
  • Implement and reinforce a safety culture through specific program and actions;
  • Deploy HSE campaigns onshore and offshore;
  • Ensure internal Safety training. Conducted offshore sessions during HSE campaigns;
  • Preparation of critical activities like SIMOPS, Shut down, Drilling : Risk analysis, specific supervision;
  • Ensure HSE knowledge and know-how are instilled within the operational function to improve HSE leadership;
  • Develop HSE tools and ensure their effective use and ownership by the operational teams;
  • Execution of HSE audits and inspection : sites, locations, contractors. Follow-up action plans;
  • Follow up incident and anomalies reported, investigate and analyze, recommend solutions;
  • HSE management of contractors : defining minimum HSE requirement in CFT process, evaluation of HSEMS, review of bridging documents, Pre-mob inspection and HSE audits, evaluation;
  • Any ad-hoc routine HSE related tasks.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor degree;
  • Qualifications and competencies in Operational Safety;
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience of safety at an operational site;
  • Experience in risk assessment techniques (JSA, HAZOP, HAZID);
  • Sound knowledge of industry codes, standards, legislation on HSE;
  • Good communication skills. Good command of spoken and written English. Arabic is a plus.
