Introduction

We're partnering exclusively with a globally recognised technical and industrial services organisation to appoint a National Sales Manager.

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll lead a national team of Business Development Managers, driving commercial strategy, sales performance and sustainable revenue growth across multiple industrial service lines.

The General Manager is specifically looking for someone with experience within an Industrial Division (INDIV) or a similar technical or industrial services environment, combined with strong Salesforce CRM capability and a proven ability to develop and lead high-performing sales teams.

The role can be based in Perth, Brisbane or Melbourne, providing flexibility for the right candidate.

What are you going to do 

You'll lead the national Business Development function, providing leadership to a geographically dispersed sales team while driving a consistent commercial strategy across the business.

Working closely with operational leaders, you'll coach Business Development Managers, strengthen Salesforce CRM discipline, improve pipeline visibility, identify new growth opportunities and build strategic relationships with key national clients.

Success in this role will come from your ability to develop people, create accountability, improve sales performance and foster a collaborative, high-performing commercial culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop a national team of Business Development Managers.
  • Develop and execute the national sales strategy.
  • Drive revenue growth across multiple industrial service lines.
  • Coach and improve the capability of the sales team.
  • Ensure disciplined Salesforce CRM utilisation and pipeline management.
  • Build strategic relationships with key national clients.
  • Support major tenders, pricing and commercial negotiations.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across the broader business.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to deliver commercial objectives.

Essential skills and knowledge

You'll be a commercially driven leader who enjoys developing people, building customer relationships and delivering results. You'll ideally bring:

  • Proven experience leading Business Development or Sales teams.
  • Experience within an Industrial Division or a similar technical or industrial services environment.
  • Strong Salesforce CRM experience.
  • Experience leading national or multi-regional sales teams.
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
