What are you going to do 

Our client is seeking an experienced Marine Coordinator to support offshore wind operations from an onshore control center in Virginia. This role is responsible for coordinating all marine activities associated with offshore wind farm operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vessels and personnel.

The Marine Coordinator acts as the central communication point between offshore teams, vessels, and onshore operations, maintaining situational awareness of all marine activities and supporting safe execution of offshore work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily marine operations supporting offshore wind farm activities

  • Monitor and track all vessel movements including Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) and Service Operation Vessels (SOVs)

  • Maintain real-time oversight of offshore personnel and vessel logistics

  • Communicate with offshore teams, vessel crews, and project stakeholders to support safe operations

  • Monitor weather and sea conditions and advise on operational limitations

  • Maintain accurate records of vessel movements, personnel offshore, and operational status

  • Coordinate emergency response procedures when required

  • Ensure compliance with marine safety protocols and project procedures

  • Support offshore logistics planning and operational coordination


  • Previous experience working as a Marine Coordinator, Marine Controller, or similar operational coordination role

  • Experience within offshore wind, offshore marine, or offshore energy projects

  • Strong understanding of marine logistics and vessel coordination

  • Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced operational environment

  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills

  • Experience working in a control room or operational coordination environment preferred

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Offshore wind experience

  • Knowledge of offshore vessel operations (CTV, SOV, or similar vessels)

  • Relevant marine or offshore safety certifications (such as GWO or equivalent)

  • Background in offshore operations and marine logistics
