What You'll Do

  • Own logistics strategy and program development across the organization, working cross-functionally with Applications Engineering, Sales, Project Management, and Operations
  • Identify optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment utilization, and shipment frequency for turbine components
  • Map ports of entry, transportation routes, and delivery strategies across multiple countries, with particular emphasis on Canada
  • Build and manage a qualified vendor pool of freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners
  • Run RFP processes, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance end to end (sourcing, onboarding, ongoing management)
  • Set vendor selection policy and performance targets against cost, quality, and delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement across logistics workflows and systems
  • Champion safety and QHSE standards across employees, contractors, and subcontractors

Essential skills and knowledge

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
  • 8+ years in logistics planning, with strong knowledge of domestic and international logistics and compliance
  • Direct experience in the Canadian logistics market, ideally within wind energy or heavy haul
  • A track record of preparing, reviewing, and negotiating logistics contracts
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with budget management experience
  • The ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, matrix-organized, global business
  • SAP/Oracle exposure a plus; fluency in French and/or Mandarin a plus

Strongly Preferred

  • Background from a major wind turbine OEM (GE, Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, or similar)
  • Heavy haul or oversized/abnormal load transportation experience
  • Cross-border (US/Canada) shipment and customs/compliance exposure
  • Experience managing a vendor pool of freight forwarders and carriers at scale
