Introduction

  • To Inspect equipment, piping, and structures (internally and externally) such as heaters, pressure vessels, fin-fan coolers, boilers, heat exchangers, storage tanks etc. for corrosion and deterioration and assess the integrity of the equipment.

What are you going to do 

  • Evaluate the inspection results & Data as per approved WSE.
  • Analyze the condition observed and recommend appropriate repair/remedial action as necessary.
  • Prepare inspection work lists for necessary repairs/works for the inspected equipment based on its condition.
  • Prepare inspection reports which should include details of all observations (as opened and after cleaning), repairs carried out and recommendations for future corrective/remedial actions. Inspection work lists and inspection reports should be of a high professional engineering level.
  • Check the condition of safety relief valves, prescribe repairs as required, and witness pressure setting of safety valves.
  • Check QA/QC of repairs, capital projects, BMRE works etc. for compliance with Company ITP, referred standards and codes.
  • Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic tests of equipment and piping.
  • Determine appropriate painting/coating scheme for pipelines, structures, equipment, and tanks and give recommendations to Company about selection of systems and procedures for quality control.
  • Occasionally inspect paint condition and conduct quality control checks for painting jobs.
  • Supervise assigned inspectors.
  • Develop welding procedures specifications and qualifications thereof.
  • Conduct tests to qualify welders in compliance with ASME Sec. IX.
  • Interpret radiographic films and other NDT data and initiate required reports and certificates.
  • Carry out any similar or related jobs as directed by supervisor.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Must hold a B.Sc. in Mechanical, Petroleum or Chemical Engineering or in Metallurgy.
  • Minimum of Ten (10) years relevant experience in Inspection, Corrosion prevention in HPI, Gas Processing Plants, Oil and Gas Industry and offshore installations.
  • They must be skilled in the use of CIMS and MS-Office software.
  • Must demonstrate good communication skill in English.
