JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Coordination and completion of field engineering activities at the construction site, ensuring alignment with approved engineering designs, specifications, and project execution plans.
  • Coordination the timely issuance, clarification, and revision of engineering documents such as drawings, specifications, procedures, and calculations to support construction activities.
  • Ensuring effective communication and collaboration between site construction teams and engineering contractors in oversea.
  • Review and management engineering queries (Technical Queries, Field Change Requests, Site Instructions, etc.) and ensure prompt resolution in cooperation with the engineering and project teams.
  • Acting as the primary interface between construction, engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams for all site-related engineering matters.
  • Coordination with discipline engineers (civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, process, etc.) to resolve inter-disciplinary issues occurring at site.
  • Participation in and facilitate site coordination meetings with construction contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to address engineering and technical topics.
  • Supporting the Field Manager by providing accurate field engineering status, progress updates, and risk assessments.
  • Providing continuous engineering support to construction teams to ensure safe, efficient, and technically sound execution of site activities.
  • Supporting constructability reviews and identify potential engineering or construction risks at early stages.
  • Coordinating as-built documentation and ensure engineering changes are properly reflected in final project documents.
  • Managing and control engineering-related site changes, including evaluation of technical feasibility and schedule impacts.
  • Leading root cause analysis for engineering-related construction issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensuring that all field engineering activities comply with project quality plans and HSE requirements.
  • Promotion a strong safety culture by ensuring engineering solutions and site instructions consider safety, constructability, and operability.
  • Monitoring and controlling field engineering progress in line with construction schedules and project milestones.
  • Supporting engineering status reports, engineering deliverables logs, and site engineering registers.
  • Development comprehensive site engineering documentation, including red-line markups and final as-built records.
  • Utilizing engineering and project management tools (e.g., spreadsheets, progress tracking tools, document control systems) to ensure transparency and traceability.
  • Leading, mentor, and supervise field engineers and discipline engineers assigned to the construction site.
  • Assignment tasks based on team members’ skills, experience, and workload, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Foster proactive communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the field engineering team.
  • Supporting training and development of junior field engineering staff.

JOB REQUIREMENT

  • At least 20 years of working experiences in EPC engineering company
  • At least 5-8 years of working experience as Process Lead Engineer or Process Design Manager or Engineering Manager for EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) or EP (Engineering and Procurement) Projects in project office and/or construction office.
  • Strong project execution knowledge of EPC Project such as in oil & gas, petrochemical, and power generation fields.
  • Willing to travel and/or station in project management office, module fabrication yard, structure pre-fabrication shop, detail engineering subcontractor’s office as Field Engineering Manager.
  • Familiar and aware of collaboration between inter-discipline engineering activities with proactive mind.
  • Proven working experience in engineering management.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Primavera P6.
  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Materials Science Engineering.
