Introduction

This is a site based Environmental Officer position supporting the delivery of a major road and civil infrastructure project. You will work closely with the project management and construction teams, overseeing environmental compliance, contractor performance, environmental documentation and site-based environmental risks throughout the project lifecycle.

What are you going to do 

  • Monitor environmental performance and compliance across construction activities.
  • Conduct environmental inspections, audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews.
  • Provide environmental advice to Project Managers, Engineers and site teams.
  • Liaise with regulators, consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Prepare environmental reporting and compliance documentation.
  • Support environmental training, inductions and toolbox talks

Essential skills and knowledge

  • 5+ years' environmental experience within civil infrastructure, road construction or major projects.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of environmental legislation, approvals and construction environmental management.
  • Experience working directly with construction contractors and site delivery teams.
  • Strong environmental auditing, compliance and reporting experience.
  • TfNSW road project experience would be highly regarded.
  • Current Australian driver's licence

What we offer 

  • $120,000 - $150,000 base + super, depending on experience.
  • Major civil infrastructure project.
