Introduction

We're seeking an Engineering Technician to work with a major Oil and Gas company located in Midland, TX on a 1 year contract position.

What are you going to do 

  • Drive Wellview reporting consistency and quality across GBL
  • Daily spot checks and working with respective techs and Ops Supervisors to address
  • Work with individual BUs to address reporting gaps. Train field personnel as needed.
  • Integrate BU reporting and data best practices into the GBL workflow
  • Work with BU Engineering and Procurement on cost tracking and operational performance analysis. Develop analytics and visualization tools to identify improvement and optimization opportunities.
  • Assist with developing and managing spotfire dashboards - interface with development teams or build our own when needed
  • Resolve expected data quality issues. For example, dig into the wellview feeding dashboards that may be displaying erroneous information and understand the underlying data quality issues
  • Implement and steward the GBL Sharepoint site
  • Address general data stewardship requests and compile GBL wide data as required (for example for management reviews)

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Excellent knowledge of Wellview reporting systems
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets quickly
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Good understanding of data best practices
