We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their multifunctional project team. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of CO2 Long Term Optimisation Project including alternative analysis, concept and technology selection, front-end engineering, detailed design, construction and installation support and follow on engineering support.

What are you going to do 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effectively manage and control change. Apply CPMS and Capital Stewardship principles to maintain effective communications and the free flow of information between work groups in order to assess and minimize the impact of Concession Requests, schedule changes, technical interface issues, and budget issues. Ensure any changes do not compromise project objectives.
  • Delivery of design deliverable by maintaining the schedule and budget of all the phase gate of the projects.
  • Support Developing SOW for CO2 LTOP, approval of CTRs.
  • Coordinate with Engineering contractor to make sure that deliverables issued are compliant to client technical standards and Australian code compliant.
  • Responsible for design assurance for all the engineering deliverables from 3rd part engineering contractor, equipment supplier and services contractor.
  • Wherever required, Coordinate with vendor/supplier to make sure that supplied equipment meets the project requirements.
  • Support and oversee system wide engineering work scopes applicable to CO2 LTOP.
  • Provide Electrical engineering support to Wells production team and construction engineering support on all matters associated with the CO2 LTOP.
  • Develop and implement practical and innovative solutions to support ongoing DE-PMP and Post DE-PMP project.
  • Coordinate with Business Unit System engineering team, Electrical TA, CTC to align with business needs.
  • Provide engineering support across multiple disciplines, whilst bringing core expertise within the electrical discipline.
  • Support Pre-commissioning and commissioning team post engineering completion.
  • Support and Implement changes to equipment whilst adhering to the Management of Change (MoC) process.

Essential skills and knowledge

Top must have skills

  • Minimum Qualifications: Engineering Degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience providing technical Electrical engineering support of in a complex oil and gas operating environment, preferred.
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian/international Standards is desirable. Practical working knowledge of relevant Western Australian codes and standards and electrical safety rules.
  • Demonstrated business and commercial acumen, clear understanding of asset priorities and competitive performance targets, and ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Capability to influence others and deliver business results through demonstration of the five ABU Winning behaviours. Demonstrated value chain fluency and a track record of championing "One team" thinking and driving cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated facilities engineering (FE) proficiency with broad knowledge across disciplines and familiarity with FE framework, codes and standards.
