Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Supervisor to support major decarbonisation and HV infrastructure projects across Pilbara mining operations. Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, you will oversee construction activities, contractor coordination, isolations, project handovers, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

What are you going to do 

  • Supervise electrical construction activities across multiple projects and contractors
  • Coordinate commissioning, energisation, handover, and SIMOPS activities
  • Manage isolation requirements and support HV switching activities
  • Conduct punch list walk-downs and field leadership activities
  • Review and interpret project drawings, inspection records, and test documentation
  • Liaise with Superintendents, commissioning teams, contractors, site personnel, and stakeholders
  • Ensure contractors deliver works safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements
  • Support completions, inspection, testing, and commissioning processes
  • Ensure compliance with BMS obligations, site procedures, and safety standards
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all works comply with company policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support workforce development through mentoring, coaching, and leadership

Essential skills and knowledge

  • WA A Grade Electrical Licence or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Previous experience supervising electrical commissioning activities across mining or HV infrastructure projects
  • High Voltage Switching Certificate
  • Strong understanding of HV distribution networks, including overhead and underground systems
  • Experience managing contractors, isolations, and commissioning activities
  • Ability to interpret project drawings, commissioning documentation, and test records
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and field leadership
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, HS&E requirements, and commissioning practices
  • Strong background in electrical supervision across mining and HV infrastructure projects
  • Experience with completions management systems (desirable)
  • Cert IV in Instrumentation & Control (desirable)
  • Experience with fibre and communications networks (desirable)
  • S26 qualification (desirable)
