Introduction

Brunel International is currently seeking a skilled E&I Technician with dual trade capabilities for an exciting FIFO opportunity to Papua New Guinea (PNG). This is a 6-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be expected to start immediately and join a dynamic team working on critical projects in the region.

What are you going to do

As an E&I Technician (Dual Trade), you will be responsible for electrical and instrumentation maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting across various industrial equipment and systems. Working on a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) roster to PNG, you will ensure all electrical and instrumentation work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards and procedures. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in remote locations under varying site conditions.

Essential skills and knowledge

Trade qualified in Electrical and Instrumentation (dual trade)
Proven experience working as an E&I Technician in industrial or mining environments
Ability to work FIFO to Papua New Guinea for the duration of the contract
Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including installation, maintenance, and fault finding
Current relevant licences and tickets (e.g., Electrical Licence, Working at Heights, Confined Space, etc.)
Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multicultural team
Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
Immediate availability to commence work
We will assist with work rights or relevant visa to work in PNG
