What are you going to doย 

We are seeking an experienced Contract Specialist III to support procurement and contract management activities for IT software agreements. This role will be responsible for the solicitation, negotiation, award, and post-award administration of software contracts, while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and legal requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience negotiating complex IT software contracts, managing stakeholders, and supporting sourcing initiatives within a structured procurement environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage solicitation, negotiation, award, and administration of IT software contracts

  • Execute day-to-day procurement activities supporting the IT Software team

  • Negotiate various agreement types including:

    • Master Agreements

    • Statements of Work (SOW)

    • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA)

    • Proof of Concept (POC) agreements

  • Provide post-execution contract administration

  • Support invoice resolution and contract compliance

  • Conduct RFP processes using approved sourcing tools

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to streamline contracting workflows

  • Manage assigned contracts while maintaining high stakeholder engagement

  • Mitigate procurement risks and support efforts to reduce total cost of ownership

  • Maintain accurate contract documentation and records in accordance with retention policies

  • Support internal and external audit activities

  • Partner with legal teams to ensure compliance with contractual clauses and regulatory requirements

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years of experience negotiating and managing IT software contracts

  • Experience negotiating agreements such as Master Agreements, SOWs, NDAs, and POCs

  • Strong contract negotiation and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Procurement experience within the energy industry

  • Experience working with SAP and Icertis

  • Knowledge of IT software procurement channels (OEMs, resellers, etc.)

  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and support critical business decisions
