Introduction

Brunel is looking for a QHSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Assistant to work with one of our clients in the oil and gas market! This opportunity would be for a temporary contract, from 7 to 9 months, outsourced through Brunel, in a hybrid regime (3 days in-person and 2 days remote) in Rio das Ostras (RJ).

What are you going to do 

  • Support accident prevention actions and training programs in Health, Environment and Safety (HSE), focusing on the highest-risk activities in the workplace.
  • Assist the HSE Analyst in the area's demands in offshore units, including inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives in health and safety.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new HSE initiatives, working together with the Operations area to ensure their application.
  • Use and support the Safety Management programs and systems adopted by the company, strengthening the HSE culture in the facilities.
  • Support the review of HSE procedures and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support training and qualification programs, including identifying skills gaps and monitoring the completion of necessary training.
  • Facilitate regional and regulatory training, when necessary.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Completed or ongoing higher education, or completed technical education in Occupational Safety or related areas.
  • Previous experience in Health, Environment and Safety (HSE/SMS).
  • Experience in offshore, industrial or high-risk environments will be considered a plus.
