Introduction

We're looking to recruit an experienced QA Engineer on an intial 6 month contract to join a high-profile technology project focused on delivering and enhancing a critical business platform.

What are you going to do 

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative Agile environment, contributing to the quality and successful delivery of a product that supports key business operations.

As the QA Analyst, you'll be responsible for ensuring software quality across new features, enhancements, integrations, and releases. You'll work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies.

    • Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks
    • Creating and executing functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases
    • Integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
    • Identifying, tracking, and managing defects through to resolution
    • Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers
    • Driving continuous improvements across testing processes, tools, and frameworks
    • Promoting a quality-first culture within an agile product team

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Test Analyst, SDET, or similar role
  • Strong automation testing experience with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, or Mocha
  • Experience writing automated tests using JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Exposure to CI/CD environments such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies including functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • API testing experience with tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Pact is highly regarded
