What are you going to do 

This is a senior engineering role that will consult with the asset management team on critical initiatives related to gas pipelines.

You will be responsible for providing coaching and mentoring to the engineering and operations teams, evaluating and improving existing systems and processes, setting up asset management frameworks, policies, and processes, and achieving consistency and alignment across asset, engineering, and digital functions.

Your expertise will help shape the future direction of the company's engineering and asset management practices, particularly in the area of gas pipeline management.

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to engineering and operations teams
  • Evaluate and improve existing systems and processes
  • Set up asset management frameworks, policies, and processes
  • Achieve consistency and alignment across asset, engineering, and digital functions

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Over 20 years of experience as an Operations/Engineering Manager.
  • Extensive senior leadership and management experience in operations/engineering.
  • Heavy industry or process experience with extensive environmental knowledge.
  • Significant experience in engineering and project management within heavily regulated and complex industries/environments.
  • Strong asset management experience and knowledge, particularly with gas pipelines.
  • Detailed knowledge of large-scale construction project management and EPC contracting strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex technical information clearly.
  • Relevant degree qualification in Engineering (RPEQ) or a management discipline; Degree in Project Management, Business, or an MBA.
  • Certification from Engineers Australia (RPEQ).
  • Exceptional relationship management skills at all levels.
  • Proven experience in coaching and mentoring.
